Aluminum Alloy Mast Aerial Work Platform is a common aerial work equipment. Its core feature is the use of lightweight aluminum alloy mast structure to achieve vertical lifting, which is suitable for indoor and outdoor small and medium height work scenes.
1. Structural Composition
Base
Equipped with universal wheels or fixed legs to ensure mobility and work stability. Some models have self-propelled function and are driven by motors.
Mast system
It consists of multi-section nested aluminum alloy masts, which are linked and extended by chains or wire ropes. It is commonly designed with double masts or three masts to improve stability.
Working platform
Guardrails, anti-slip pedals, and emergency descent devices are standard configurations. Some platforms can be extended or rotated to expand the working range.
Drive system
Electric type: battery powered, quiet and environmentally friendly, suitable for indoor use; hydraulic type: more powerful, suitable for outdoor rugged terrain.
Control system
Dual control panels on the platform and the ground, integrated with lifting/moving buttons, emergency stop, tilt alarm and power display functions.
2. Operation principle
Lifting mechanism
The motor or hydraulic pump drives the chain/wire rope system to lift the mast section by section. For example, the three-mast structure can achieve synchronous extension and retraction through cross-bracing, with a maximum height of 12-18 meters.
Movement and positioning
Lightweight design (the weight of the whole machine is usually 200-500kg) allows manual pushing, and the electric self-propelled model has a speed of about 1-3km/h, which is suitable for narrow spaces.
Safety mechanism
The tilt sensor automatically locks when the slope exceeds 3°; the overload protection (load 150-300kg) triggers an alarm; the manual pump achieves slow descent when the power is off.
Aluminum alloy mast platforms strike a balance between lightness, flexibility and cost-effectiveness, becoming the mainstream choice for 5-15m aerial work. The actual selection should be based on the operating height, space restrictions and power requirements (such as whether frequent movement is required).
